Drinking my morning latte is almost a little sad, because I know it's the only caffeine I'll have for the day. So I stretch it out, make it last as long as possible.

I caught myself gazing longingly at Dean's diet coke (and I really don't even like diet coke) during lunch today. Mmm, caffeine ...

But I was good. Drinking lots of water and lemonade, eating less junk. Someone pat me on the head, damnit, I'm a good puppy.

Plus apertame (Nutrasweet) turns into formaldehyde in the human body. You're basically pickling yourself by drinking it.

Only if your body gets to be over 104 F (so if you've got a fever and drinking anything with aspartame, you're screwed). I have a bio-chem major for a sister and she's studied it (and then lectured me on it). There are other nasty things it'll do though.
