I was very stressed the week after crown but differently. I slept better but things were still frazzly.

On Thursday when I left work after a doozy of a storm hit. I got to the car and it didn't' start but the electronics flashed and flashed and flashed and yeah. So I called plant security who can do jumps after I checked for a blown battery, flood damage, or a lightening strike. That storm was a doozy. But i found nothing but the tiniest bit of moisture on the one corner of the battery which looked more like condensation than battery acid. I called plant security and they arrived and told me they can't do jumps any more...sighs. I called AAA and they said 40 mins which was fine. I would have to call plant security again to get a ride to the gate and then escort them back. I got called by the tow driver and he also said 40mins. I had a link to watch his truck making the drive. Then the vehicle stopped for like 30 mins. I called the driver back and he had been re-routed to another car. He said AAA was supposed to have called me back. I called them and was irritated. They were like 'well we called you and left a voicemail', I called BS cause I was sitting with my phone and no call came in and no voicemail either. During all of this another bad storm moved in and I was not happy. Finally almost 3 hours later the tow truck pulled up to the gate, I got a ride to the gate and headed back with the driver. He was very nice but also pissed at AAA. Even he was surprised it could be the battery especially with the battery made last year. He also noted the condensation and the battery was DEAD when he hooked up his tester. I got a jump and then drove home in the wind and drizzle. It was 840 by the time I pulled in to home and had a very very large G&T and then another one. I was mad. I was frazzled and oof.

Friday AM I got the car to start barely and managed to get Benton to the bus stop and then drove to the dealership. I had an appt on Monday but hoped they could get me in for at least a battery change. They were awesome and did and Mel picked me up to let me finish my work day and they had the car ready by 1pm. I had finished the work with OT also, then got the car, hit a massage where Joey was able to get my hip to finally release. I was so sore but I still went to a happy hour cause that was planned and I really needed it.

Went to The Broadway for our CM who moved up in rank and over to another program. I used to work with both her father-in-law on my first program and then her husband (Juan) on the program before my current one. It was a nice time. I had a pickle beer (pickle juice, pickles in lager) and a beertini (olive brine and olives in lager). I needed it after too much gin on Thursday night but it was nice to sit and chat and hang out.

We managed to head up to Fiber Frivolity on Saturday up in Prescott Valley. Took the car and made it up there in 3 hours 10 mins much to the chagrin of the older folks who can't even fathom making it to Tucson in less than 4+ hours. Lol. I have a red sports car it goes zoom. Especially goes zoom after it got serviced on Friday for all of things we were going to do on Monday as well. We had a nice time catching up with folks I haven't seen in years Jennifer T, Elinor, various folks from the barony up there. I did a bit of spinning and warped up my loom for osberg "S" weaving. Though I did good on the first pass I'm still trying to rework things to get things back on track. But we had a nice time, drove to Phx and stopped off at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall and came home with another spinning wheel for Mel to rehab. We managed to miss another huge rain storm and then hit up Rudy's for dinner. I had managed to drive us up in the rain and crazy roads (Phx had gotten 1.6 inches of rain on Thursday and it was still crazy in places. We had missed 5 accidents on the way up and a few more on the way to Rudy's. We had food and then I was toast. Mel was nice enough to drive and folks were being dumb. WE got home, unloaded and then I was showered and bedded before I could even think. What I didn't know was Mel was up with Benton puking at midnight. I don't think we can eat at Rudy's anymore. This is the second time this has happened and we aren't sure what sets him off but oof.

Sunday, I felt like death warmed over, tired and still just frazzled. I had a haircut and then we had folks coming to work on things for Melee camp. I got going on a small path, Ari got going on the corner patch and then I started in on the top center upright that had torn through. After 7 hours of sewing I had not finished the upper patch. My hands hurt, Ari's hands hurt and yeah. But that was that week and weekend.
