(no subject)

I decided to drop by fighter practice toward the end of the evening (after a thoroughly frustrating spin through the mall in search of shoes that (a) are appropriately dressy and (b) do not wish to maimkillmaim my feet), and the first thing my brother, Simon, said to me was, "Nice picture in the paper."

Huhwha?

Apparently there's some article about SCA 'avatars' in some ... magazine ... in which the editors thought it would be okay to gank pictures from the Knights of St. Michael website; I haven't seen this article, but I'm told that, along with the picture of me, there's a picture of the KoSM banner. Simon couldn't remember if the picture of me was the one picture of me that's on the KoSM site, or if it came from somewhere else.

I don't know why it sits so weird with me; my picture is all over the web, from my old school back home to various SCA galleries, it's easy enough to find my picture. I think the fact that the people who wrote the article decided it was okay to use someone else's pictures, without crediting (or even asking for permission) just sits sideways with me.

If anyone knows where to find the article, I'd really like to take a gander at it.
