(no subject)

As a sidebar to my previous entry: this was not a good weekend for a trip to Tucson. Why? Because it was gorgeous there, and then I got back to Phoenix and it was 85 degrees inside my apartment. I am not really looking forward to summer, suddenly.

Her Majesty made me a Companion of the Queen's Grace ... Sibilla asked to be added to the list of court business, and when I called her up, she read the scroll and it was for me!

Turns out I'd walked into the royal ready room at least twice while Cecilia was working on the scroll, and they managed to keep me from seeing it. Mariana's good; at one point she was all, "I NEED A SMOKE! Cecilia's scribing, YOU attend me," and dragged me outside for a 'quick smoke' that turned into a half-hour. Heh.
